Set in a remote island town off the coast of New England, "Widow's Bay" blends genuine horror with character-driven comedy. The series stars Matthew Rhys as Mayor Tom Loftis, a man determined to revive his struggling community even as unsettling legends begin to resurface. Created and executive produced by Katie Dippold and directed and executive produced by Hiro Murai. David Fleming’s incredibly evocative score for "Widow's Bay" is a living, breathing entity that permeates every building and wide-open space in the town. It’s a symphony of atmospheric synth lines and pads, dreamy strings, occasional terrifying stingers, breathy theremin-style wailing vocals, and melodies that blend together seamlessly. It somehow manages to feel deeply rooted in the town’s ancient history yet feeling completely modern. In a word, it’s timeless.
