We’re An American Band

We’re An American Band is one of Grand Funk Railroad’s most iconic releases, originally issued in 1973 and presented here as part of Elemental Music’s carefully curated reissue series. Produced by Todd Rundgren, the album captures the band at a creative peak, refining their raw hard rock energy into a tighter, more polished sound without losing their signature power.

The record includes some of the group’s most enduring material, including the chart-topping title track and “Walk Like A Man.” It also marks the introduction of Craig Frost, whose keyboards expanded the band’s sonic palette.
