22 tracks of red hot and jumpin' blues from the Decca vaults of the late 40s early 50s. Originally issued across 3 volumes on vinyl, they proved very popular at the time and since they have been deleted have already taken on a collector's item value. So this CD compilation is a welcome opportunity for those who missed out on the vinyl to catch up with the sounds of Stomp Gordon, Cecil Payne, Tiny Davis and the wonderfully named James Von Streeter & His Wig Poppers. A must for blues fans and dancers everywhere.
