The Seeds of Love is the acclaimed third studio album from Tears for Fears, originally released in September 1989. A commercial and critical triumph, it debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and achieved Platinum certification from the BPI within just three weeks. In the United States, the album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and was also certified Platinum.
Widely regarded as one of the defining albums of the 1980s, The Seeds of Love features some of the band's most celebrated recordings, including the hit singles "Sowing the Seeds of Love," "Woman in Chains," "Advice for the Young at Heart," and "Badman's Song.”
The 2LP edition pairs the original album with a second disc of demos and rare versions, several of which are appearing on vinyl for the very first time. Housed in a single sleeve featuring alternative sleeve artwork.
The expansive 3CD edition features the original album alongside the essential B-sides, alternate mixes, and rare recordings from the era. Presented in a deluxe 3CD digipack, it features a booklet with interviews conducted by Super Deluxe Edition editor Paul Sinclair with members of the band and key contributors to the album.
The single LP edition features the classic 1989 album cut at half speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios for enhanced audio fidelity and exceptional vinyl playback.
