More Info

The 1967 debut album by the American singer Pat Arnold featuring the hit singles The First Cut Is The Deepest, If You Think You’re Groovy – featuring the Small Faces & the Northern Soul collector’s item Everything’s Gonna Be Alright. Pat began her professional singing career as an Ikette with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue in 1965. Whilst on tour in London in 1966, she jumped ship and started recording for Stone’s manager Andrew Loog Oldham with Mick Jagger as her producer for much of this LP. Cat Stevens who wrote ‘First Cut Is The Deepest’ acknowledges that her version is the all-time classic recording of his song. Her second LP for Immediate Records has also been reissued by Charly Records. LP original sleeve & artwork faithfully reproduced with reverse board matte laminate finish. CD digi-sleeve echoes the format of the original LP & comes with gatefold cover & printed wallet. New 96KHZ-24BIT Transfers.
