Terramar is the confluence of Causa Sui and Southern Californian guitarist Isaiah Mitchell. Recorded during a week-long immersion in the El Paraiso studio in Odense, Denmark, their self-titled debut channels deep currents of psychedelia and kosmische into a heavy, uncharted swell of sonic exploration.
Best known for his expansive, high-powered solos in Earthless, Mitchell reveals new sides of his playing alongside the El Paraiso Records crew. Together, they draw on Californian psychedelia, German kosmische and Scandinavian commune rock, finding fresh angles in each other’s musicianship.
The group flies high on “Swell” and the scorching “Melted Mountain”, while “Ritual De Fantasmas”, “Caterpillar” and “Borrego” push into deeper experimental territory, weaving synthesizers and studio manipulation into their sound.
Terramar features Isaiah Mitchell, Jakob Skøtt, Rasmus Rasmussen, Jonas Munk and Jess Kahr. Mixed and mastered by Jonas Munk.
