Dance Hall Crashers’ Purr returns to vinyl for the first time since 1999 in an expanded deluxe edition. Remixed, remastered and re-sequenced, it adds seven extra songs to the band’s hard-hitting blend of ska-punk hooks, sharp wit and biting lyrics.
Produced by Fat Mike and mixed by Tim Palmer, Purr captures the punchy, arena-scale energy of the band’s live shows. Highlights include the ferocious “Beverly Kills”, the anti-suck-up anthem “The Real You”, the grungy “Remember To Breathe” and the sixties-pop-infused “Make Her Purr”, alongside more vulnerable moments such as the acoustic “Cricket”.
This pink double-vinyl edition comes in a gatefold jacket with an insert and new cover artwork by Sam Grinberg, known for his work on The Simpsons.
