Presents Author Unknown

Jason Falkner’s landmark debut Presents Author Unknown returns for its 30th anniversary in an expanded edition. Falkner revisited the original multitrack tapes to create an all-new remix, revealing greater depth, punch and sonic detail while remaining faithful to the spirit of the original release.

Written, produced and performed by Falkner himself, the album showcases his sophisticated songwriting, inventive arrangements and musicianship. His work with The Three O’Clock, Jellyfish, The Grays and TV Eyes, alongside collaborations with artists including Beck, Paul McCartney, Aimee Mann, St. Vincent and Air, has established him as a musician’s musician.

This edition includes the outtake “My Home Is Not A House” and three 4-track demos, with mastering by Michael Graves at Osiris Studio. New liner notes by Falkner reflect on the album’s enduring significance and his reasons for returning to it three decades later.
