More Info
Pronounced “P.O.’ed”, piouhgd is the fifth studio album from Texas-bred psych stalwarts Butthole Surfers. Originally released in 1991, it captures the band in transition, morphing from underground freakshow to unlikely MTV mainstays.
Face-melting guitars and references to comedian Gary Shandling abound, alongside a skewed yet tuneful cover of Donovan’s “Hurdy Gurdy Man”. This 2026 remaster returns the album to vinyl through Matador Records.
