My Heart Is A Room With No Cameras In It (Deluxe)

Victoryland, the Brooklyn-based project of Julian McCamman and Dan Howard, brings My Heart Is A Room With No Cameras In It to Dead Oceans in a deluxe edition featuring new song “The Ugliest Girl On The Beach”.

Recorded between McCamman’s Bed-Stuy basement and Howard’s Williamsburg studio, the album blends experimental pop-rock, radio-ready gloss and the distortion and rough edges of home demos. Each song retains at least one element of its initial recording, building around loops and half-formed ideas into a bright, restless collaboration.

Humorous pop turns, bitter reflections and abstract imagery arrive with an urgent vocal delivery. The record’s inventive approach earned praise from Pitchfork and Stereogum, alongside radio support from Steve Lamacq and Sian Eleri, while the band’s live journey has included dates with LCD Soundsystem.

The deluxe LP is pressed on crystal clear vinyl. A CD edition is also available.
