Moments With Moodymann

Moments With Moodymann celebrates Kenny Dixon Jr.’s unmistakable contribution to Detroit dance music. Selected by Moodymann himself, this collection brings together sought-after favourites from the late nineties through the 2020s.

Jazz chords, R&B melancholy, fragments of soul and cosmic-minded grooves run through tracks including “Lyk U Used 2”, “Black Mahogani”, “Shades Of Jae” and “Dem Young Sconies”. A personal selection of soulful club records, it offers both familiar touchstones and a chance to discover hard-to-find moments from his catalogue.
