More Info
Philly International's house band became known as MFSB (not dissimilar to Motown's Funk Brothers) and Gamble & Huff pushed them as a recording-performing act.
These, the first four albums, date from 1973, '75 and '76.
All four made the US Top 200, while 'TSOP' (also called 'Love Is The Message') and 'Universal Love' were Number 1 and 2 R'n'B albums.
The single 'TSOP' was a huge US Number 1.
Digitally remastered and slipcased with extensive new notes.
