This is Jim’s first solo single and, staying true to his funk & soul roots, he brings big horns, cuts and B-boy swagger to the table on production. His accomplice here, Marlon Craft, is one of the new generation of emcees who balances spitting flames and tantalising lyrical content. His skills on ‘Made’ are undeniable, with punchlines and jewels dropped in equal measure. The B-side also fails to disappoint, and boasts cut up strings and xylophone over tough boom bap drums.
