During their initial burst of success from 1965 to 1967 the band were a blur of live gigs, radio and TV appearances and hurried recording sessions. This CD documents the Who’s transition from r’n’b to pop-art, collating material that is unavailable officially, albeit sometimes in sound quality that reflects contemporary broadcast standards.
