More Info
Considered the first punk band in Detroit, the ironic power-pop-punk quartet Cinecyde launched Tremor Records in 1977 to handle their own work, issuing several singles and EPs before cutting this dynamite debut long-player in 1982. Arguably the band’s best release, the album captured Cinecyde at its tightest and made clear that the sound was all their own, the players directing their raw power into unusual power-pop song structures, the high level of musical skill and cliche-free lyrics relegating the output to a unique category. This is a must-have for fans of the group and all lovers of intelligent, non-standard Midwest punk!
