Trumpeter Freddie Hubbard burst out of the gates in the early 1960s with a run of hard bop classics including Hub Cap, the first album to showcase both his dynamic playing and compositional prowess. Bringing the music to life was a sextet with Julian Priester, Jimmy Heath, Cedar Walton, Larry Ridley, and Philly Joe Jones.
This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
