Star Moles is the project of Emily Moales, a New Hampshire native who found her creative home in Philadelphia. After years of exploring fantastical concepts inspired by literature and mythology, Highway to Hell trades high concept for high impact, drawing on the music she loves and the life around her.
Alongside personal reflections, Moales confronts religious fanaticism, environmental collapse and the rise of fascism in America. The result is a statement of intent from a distinctive talent within Philadelphia’s prolific independent music community.
Produced by Kevin Basko of Rubber Band Gun, the album features contributions from their Historic NJ Recordings creative collective, including Sam Sullivan on guitar and Jem Seidel on drums. Highway to Hell receives its first widely available pressing on retail-exclusive Hellfire coloured vinyl.
