Head On 1974

Limited to 500 copies and available on CD only, Head On 1974 brings together previously unheard Iggy & The Stooges recordings alongside remastered surviving tracks from their San Francisco shows.

The collection includes a Toronto recording made on Scotch reel tape by Sounds journalist Marco Livingstone, plus a previously unheard audience recording of the band’s final show at Detroit’s Michigan Palace, presented unedited from beginning to end. The surviving San Francisco tracks, originally issued in the long-out-of-print 2004 Heavy Liquid box set, have been remastered.

Both tapes were baked at FX Copyroom before being sonically cleaned up and mastered at Wax Works. The double CD includes liner notes by Stooges author Michael S Begnal and a twenty-four-page booklet featuring photographs from Toronto, San Francisco and Cleveland in 1974.
