Originally released in 2002. 16 Horsepower's "Folklore" delves deeper into their distinctive, sombre and spiritual interpretation of American and Eastern European traditional songs. The album combines original songs with radically reinterpreted classics, which the band transforms into ritualistic, minimalist yet powerfully charged soundscapes. Banjo, cello, hurdy-gurdy and bandoneon form an archaic foundation that impressively underpins David Eugene Edwards' ntense vocals. This limited Oxblood Red Vinyl Edition brings this milestone back in a special format - to coincide with the 2026 reunion tour, on which the band will perform on European stages in their original line-up for the first time in two decades. Folklore remains one of the band's most characteristic and atmospherically dense works: dark, ethereal, hypnotic - an album that dissolves the boundaries between tradition, myth and modern alternative culture.
