East Side Love Story is the full-length debut from St. Panther, the recording project of Mexican/Colombian artist, producer, singer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist Dani Bojorges-Giraldo. An effervescent, soulful collection of love songs, it celebrates freedom, romance and the distinct culture of their East Los Angeles neighbourhood.
Developed over six years within the walls of their apartment, the album draws on the sounds drifting through its windows: Chicano soul, Motown classics, G-funk anthems and feel-good oldies. Friends, lovers and the everyday life of the East Side shape a warm, inviting portrait of the place they call home.
Moving between soul, R&B, jazz, hip-hop and alternative pop, St. Panther brings inventive production and an unmistakable voice to the songs. This edition is pressed on sangria vinyl.
