Curtis Fuller, Volume 3 (Tone Poet)

After moving from Detroit to New York in 1957, trombonist Curtis Fuller appeared on John Coltrane’s Blue Train and recorded his first three sessions as a leader. Volume 3 is a swinging set featuring trumpeter Art Farmer, pianist Sonny Clark, bassist George Tucker and drummer Louis Hayes.

This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley and mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes. Pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, it is housed in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
