Bloque 6 by Juan Carlos Calderón, is a fundamental recording in the history of modern jazz in Spain, originally released in 1968. Quite different from the albums Calderón would record a few years later, he would go on to incorporate elements of funk, disco, and even flamenco. For this album, he surrounded himself with such prominent Spanish jazz musicians as Pedro Iturralde, Vlady Bas, and Pepe Nieto.
