The debut solo album from former Runaways guitarist Joan Jett, originally released as a self-titled album without a label at live shows in 1980, but later released as "Bad Reputation" in 1981 after she signed to Boardwalk Records.

The album includes performances by former Sex Pistols Steve Jones and Paul Cook, and Frank Infante and Clem Burke of Blondie.

It spawned 5 singles including the fan-favourite title track and a cover of Gary Glitter's "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)".
