Airy Fairy

Glasvegas return with their fifth studio album, Airy Fairy, opening a new chapter for one of Scotland’s most distinctive bands. Emerging from Glasgow’s East End, they built a loyal following through an atmospheric wall-of-sound and deeply resonant storytelling, with their platinum-selling debut earning a Mercury Music Prize nomination.

Airy Fairy explores identity, escape, perception, relationships and the complexities of the modern world, questioning the space between reality and what we imagine or convince ourselves to be true. A connecting thread runs through songwriter James Allan’s observations and experiences, while artwork by Ross Muir adds another dimension to the album’s themes.

Six years after their last studio album, this is Glasvegas at their most personal and reflective: cinematic, emotionally charged music that develops their signature sound.

The indie/HMV-exclusive LP is pressed on solid grey vinyl in a single jacket. The standard LP features heavyweight black vinyl in a single jacket, while the CD comes in a digipak.
