A Long Way From Kansas finds Hot Chip at their most primal. Taking its title from a nod to The Wizard of Oz, their ninth album explores the distance between a world spinning ever faster and the search for somewhere that feels like home.
Reacting to the bleakness around them with distortion and decay, the band find their own way to celebrate life. It is a beaming reminder that home can mean like-minded souls on a dancefloor just as much as closing the curtains in your own living room.
The double black-vinyl edition includes printed lyric inner sleeves, a deluxe heavyweight gatefold outer sleeve with mirror foil and spot-gloss details, and a download card. Also available on CD.
