In 2012 Martin Barre recorded several solo albums and began touring as a solo artist in Europe and the USA with his own band. In 2019, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin joining Jethro Tull, The Martin Barre Band released the album ’50 Years Of Jethro Tull’ featuring Dan Crisp (vocals / guitar), Alan Thomson (bass / vocals) and Darby Todd (drums). The record featured imaginative new recordings of Jethro Tull classics, including an acoustic set featuring vocalists Alex Hart and Becca Langsford, and was well received by fans.
In 2021 the wonderful 2CD set 'Live At The Wildey’ was released. A fine document of three special concerts staged at The Wildey Theater, Illinois, USA in May 2019. The recordings captured Martin’s band on fine form performing over two hours of Jethro Tull music and saw guest appearances by former Tull members Clive Bunker (drums) and Dee Palmer (keyboards).
This new 4CD set gathers both of these albums in a clamshell box set for the first time and is a celebration of the music of Jethro Tull and the legacy of a fine musician.
