On her new album, Delusion, Tempers – the musical alias of New York-based artist Jasmine Golestaneh – embarks on a non-linear journey of healing and becoming. Across ten tracks, she navigates tempestuous emotional tides, feeling her way through a fever dream of stormclouds and sunburst towards psychic clarity, creat- ing a soundtrack for “those who love too much, fall too hard, and dream too vividly.”
Delusion moves fluidly across genres, from art pop to techno, grunge to metal cues, with epic balladic moments seeded throughout. Co-Produced by Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht (Sky Ferreira, Crushed, Wild Nothing), the album features collaborations with visual artists Camille Henrot, Estelle Hoy and Sandra Mujinga and is set for release April 24th, 2026 on Golestaneh’s own new label fear of luxury, distributed by Cascine/Secretly.
Tempers’ awaited new album follows the 2015 debut, Services, which included the underground dancefloor hit “Strange Harvest”. In 2019, Tempers released the LP Private Life, which introduced a more introspective sound, followed by New Meaning in 2022, which was accompanied by a book of Golestaneh’s original collage art inspired by the record. Tempers’ art world leanings have led to unique collaborations including performances in museums, galleries and off-spaces, an EP (2017’s Fundamental Fantasy) stemming from an artist residency with The Vinyl Factory, and the 2018 release of Junkspace feat. Rem Koolhaas.
Tour dates across May include Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin, and Istanbul. Festival shows lead into an extensive interna- tional headline tour starting in September 2026, covering further key markets such as Mexico City and major cities across the United States and Canada, as well as Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich.
