Miley is back with Bass Persuades, her tenth studio album and the first release under her new deal with Atlantic, and it sounds like she’s fancying another change of direction. Following the retro, ’80s-inspired world of Something Beautiful, the first taste of the new record is a much more bass-heavy, dancefloor-minded affair, with the title track riding a throbbing synth groove and Miley encouraging everyone to stop staring at their screens and get moving.
