Steep Stims II collects Clark’s Modal, Opponent and Entity Stims EPs alongside the new focus track “Naiveventide”. Gathering an album’s worth of leftfield dancefloor experiments road-tested on tour, it continues the restless exploration of the Steep Stims world.
Retooled hooks, live jams and lurking archive finds become entirely new productions. An encounter with the Access Virus synthesiser provided the impetus for this period, its unruly hardware powering a whirlwind of experiments and bringing fresh energy to older tracks.
The collection moves between contrasting moods, tracing an emotional ebb and flow before “Cult Leavers” quietly shuffles out of the dancefloor wonderland and back into the shadows.
Very limited 13-track CD-only edition in a softpack.
