NPR Tiny Desk Concert

Scarface’s acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk performance arrives on physical formats as part of Rap-A-Lot Records’ 40 Years campaign.

Backed by a live band featuring legendary producer Mike Dean on keys, the Houston icon delivers intimate, reimagined renditions of career-defining classics including “On My Block”, “Mary Jane”, “Smile”, “I Seen A Man Die” and the Geto Boys’ “Mind Playing Tricks On Me”. Originally presented by NPR Music in December 2023, the performance inspired Scarface’s Behind the Desk Experience tour the following year.

The indie/HMV-exclusive “Smoke Signal” LP features blue, red and black smoke ribbons on a clear disc. The standard “Live On-Air” LP features a clear disc with a bone colour-in-colour effect. Both vinyl editions come in a matte-finished, direct-to-board jacket with an 8 × 10-inch black-and-white performance photograph of Scarface and Mike Dean.

The CD comes in a classic jewel case with a four-panel booklet featuring a foreword by NPR’s Bobby Carter.
