More Info
Light in the Attic is proud to present Nancy Sinatra’s 1967 album, Movin’ With Nancy. This definitive new edition and first ever vinyl re-release celebrates Nancy at the peak of her 1960s cool. Movin’ with Nancy is one of the most ambitious creative projects in Nancy Sinatra’s career. The hour long, 1967 television special and accompanying soundtrack album capture the creative, groovy, and beautiful times of the 1960s.
The project was funded by RC Cola, but this was no cash in. It was a passion project for Nancy, who asked her dad, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and other family and friends to be in the movie. She also used her own cars, clothes, house and did her own make-up. A truly DIY production. The album features Frank Sinatra performing Younger Than Springtime and Dean Martin dueting with Nancy on Things.
Producer Lee Hazlewood duets with Nancy on Some Velvet Morning and Jackson, he also contributes the songs I Gotta Get Out Of This Town, Friday’s Child, This Town and See The Little Children. The bonus tracks include the never before heard outtake, It’s Such A Pretty World Today (Movin’ Version), two unreleased pieces of music featured in the film and the incredibly catchy commercial, RC Cola (It’s A Mad Mad Cola).
