Once they'd become famous, thanks to Bowie's help, with the brilliant All The Young Dudes, they followed up with the excellent hits "Honaloochie Boogie" and "All the Way from Memphis" and produced this fine album. It became Mott's biggest-selling album, and contains some beautiful Ian Hunter ballads, such as "I Wish I Was Your Mother" "Ballad of Mott the Hoople" and "Hymn for the Dudes". This CD contains a few extra tracks, one of which, "Rose", was the b-side of "Honaloochie Boogie", and is one of Mott's most beautiful songs. A classic album.
