The 6th T. Rex album eschewed their folkier psychedelic past and ushered in a new poppier "glam rock" sound to great success. Often thought of as the first glam rock album, "Electric Warrior" reached #1 in the U.K. and was the biggest selling album of 1971. Two singles were taken from the album, "Get It On" (U.K. #1) and "Jeepster" (#2).
