Psychic Ills’ debut Dins returns to vinyl for its 20th anniversary. Originally available as a limited LP pressing, this long-sought-after album receives its first-ever vinyl reissue after two decades.
Recorded by Charles Burst, whose work includes Black Dice, Gang Gang Dance and The Double, Dins takes the band’s circular rhythms and guitar theatrics into the studio, blending non-traditional instrumentation and improvisation with a surging rock dynamic.
Drenched in reverb and boundless drone, the album moves between the extended psychedelia of “I Knew My Name” and “Another Day Another Night” and the hypnotic, whirring guitar tones of “Electric Life”. It is a heavy, exploratory debut with a broad range of sonic inspirations.
