More Info
Madness followed their debut with Absolutely in September 1980, reaching number two in the UK and the Netherlands. Featuring “Baggy Trousers”, “Embarrassment” and “Return Of The Los Palmas 7”, the album took its title from a favourite expression of the band’s tour manager.
The vinyl editions feature a new 2026 master, cut from transfers of the original quarter-inch master tapes prepared for the 2010 reissue, and are pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl. Alongside black vinyl, a strictly limited blue edition is available as a one-time pressing that will not be repressed.
The CD uses the 2010 remaster from the original quarter-inch master tapes and is presented in a mini-LP replica of the original vinyl sleeve. The original 1980 artwork is reproduced, with complete lyrics to the Madness-composed songs printed for the first time on a 12 × 12-inch vinyl insert and in the CD booklet.
