The 1980's was arguably one of greatest decades for dance music. It was the decade
when clubbing became a mainstay of youth culture and broke into the mainstream
global consciousness. Dancefloors in cities such as Chicago, Detroit, New York,
London, Manchester, Berlin and Ibiza attracted loyal and devoted audiences.
DJs were becoming the main attraction and this compilation gathers together some of
