It has been 10 years since Cheap Wine stepped up as the french reference for heavy psych blues.
Escaped from a magic forest in Picardie (north of France), an unique place sheltered from all the craziness of the outside world, Cheap Wine drifts with the wind like the Celebration Days Records banner, an utopian record label co- founded by the band and a few friends. Since the release of their second EP Sad Queen in 2016, the six musicians deliver their powerful mystic cure all over Europe, as magnificent stage performers.
Don’t trust their name, there’s nothing cheap in their music. Incubated for years, the sound is a delicious mix of fine songwriting, blues roughness and psychedelic delirium. Schr dinger’s Pipe is an ingenious and powerful record with an almost-epic 70’s sound. It is the culmination of a rich career and a strong stage experience.
