The first few seconds of Honeyglaze’s sophomore effort “Real Deal” was enough for a place on a few of our lists, opener “Hide”’s instrumental stabs being enough to prick up even the most dismissive ears. The album shows a strengthening of the band’s songwriting with moments such as “I Feel It All” and “Movies” being some of the most emotive pieces of indie this year.
