“After every disaster, there is an opportunity to rebuild and start again - and that is exactly what Natural Disaster is for me as an artist, as a woman, and as Bethany Cosentino. A record about struggling with disaster in the everyday and leaning on love to save yourself, whether that be the love of a romantic partner, love in the form of radical self-acceptance, or love of the planet you live on. This album was born out of a sort of … identity crisis, and on the other side I discovered a softer, more feminine version of myself, ready and willing to push through the discomfort of growing pains.
