X-Ray Spex was a British punk band that had a short but infl uente existence between 1976 and 1979. The band consisted of singer Poly Styrene, guitarist Jak Airport, bassist Paul Dean, B. P Hurding on drums and Lora Logic on saxophone. The presence of the latter instrument is rather atypical in the musical tradition of the punk movement (except for the French Lucrate Milk or Suicide Romeo), and it is this instrument that will make one of the distinctive elements of the group and its identity. Another distinctive and typical element of X-Ray Spex was the strident and discordant voice of the singer, Poly Styrene. Poly Styrene became the band's iconic fi gure and a must-see singer in the punk movement of that era. Although the X-Ray Spex only existed between mid-1976 and 1979, they made five singles and one album. The album and title of the single will be ranked 30th and 19th respectively in the London charts, and Oh Bondage, Up Yours! will be considered a cult song of the group. This CD/DVD celebrates the 30th anniversary of the legendary Punk band who for the occasion performed at the famous “Roundhouse” in London in front of a floor of 3000 people. All “hits” are present here: 'The Day The World Turned Day-Glo', 'Highly Infl-ammable', 'Germ Free Adolescents' and 'Oh Bondage, Up Yours! ' - Also included a new title 'Bloody War'
