Surinam born Sumy (real name Kenneth Sumter) started his musical career in the late 70s.During the early 80s Sumy signed a license deal with Philips for two singles 'The Funky "G" (Only Comes At Night)' and 'Funkin' In Your Mind' plus recording and releasing a LP on his own record label Galaxy Records.The much sought after (Discogs!) and very rare 'Funkin' In Your Mind' 12-inch proto-funk/disco track with vocoder is remastered from the original tapes and available for Record Store Day 2020.12" (45rpm) on transparent blue vinyl.NOTE: This is one of the rarest funk 12 inches from Europe.Just on Discogs, over 1.000 people from all over the world are looking for this rare 12" single.It has not been reissued since it's original release in 1982.
