With this new series, the label Trojan presents some of the biggest reggae artists. The double CDs are released at a special price and are brimming with the artist's greatest successes. High repertoire value, low price! The series is also underlined by the graphic design and builds on a recognition value through color and presentation. Lee " Scratch" Perry: His " Dub" versions made him world famous. In 1973, he built his own studio - called " Black Ark" to take full control of his productions from now on. For the first time he had time to work on the productions as long as he wished. The sound became more experimental, he understood the studio as his own instrument. In addition to the musician of reggae, he paved the way for modern dub albums - such as those of Massive Attack and Primal Scream - and influenced artists such as PIL, The Slits, The Pop Group, The Prodigy, The Beastie Boys, AR Kane, The Orb and Gorillaz. The compilation includes pieces by his band The Upsetters, solo recordings and wonderful productions for other artists from Jamaica.
