Joy Orbison stamps his sound across Jorja Smith’s incredible version of ‘Rose Rouge’ “This remix reminds me of my earlier work - but maybe a more realised take on what I was trying to do back then,” says Joy O. “I was conscious of how the original track had been sampled many times in house & garage records and wanted to incorporate a bit of that while taking Jorja's version in a new direction.” He most certainly does that. Her sultry vocal mixes perfectly with his UK garage take on the classic St Germain track, taking a turn towards the dancefloor after a breezy, hypnotising intro.
