‘Live at Ronnie Scott's - 15th January 1966 (Japanese Edition)’ by multi-instrumentalist Yusef Lateef sees the influential jazz musician running through tunes from early LPs such as ‘Jazz Mood’ and ‘Eastern Sounds’. Backed by the house band, Lateef plays flute, the oboe-esque Shenai, Chinese flute and saxophone. Lateef is know for blending jazz with Eastern music and is said to have been a great influence on the likes of John Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders.
