Recorded at the MEN Arena in Manchester, Duran Duran makes it clear that they haven’t aged a bit since their glory days in the 80s.
This live album captures the band performing their classics such as “A View To A Kill”, “Ordinary World”, “Wild Boys” and “Rio”, as well as tracks from their most recent album at that time “All You Need Is Now”, produced by British-American musician, songwriter and producer Mark Ronson.

Back in the spring of 2011 Duran Duran were rehearsing for the uk leg of a world tour in support of the then new album 'All You Need Is Now' when Simon Le Bom suffered from a severe bout of Laryngitis that meant he could no longer sing. The tour immediately was cancelled until Simon's voice had returned and was strong enough to tour. We arrive at December 2011 and the tour is back on. Unbeknown by the fans (myself included) that were in attendance was that the concert was being filmed for a DVD and live album. Here on the album we have a reduced set with 5 songs missing (Safe, The Man Who Stole a Leopard, Tiger Tiger, White Lines and Careless Menories) also Blame The Machines and Come Undone have been swapped about. Though there are songs missing it does not detract from how good Duran Duran are at performing and how strong Le Bon's live vocal has become.
A Diamond of a Concert
I was at the concert that night this was recorded. Simon Le Bon had lost his voice some months before and the original summer tour had to be rescheduled. Thankfully his voice came back and it was even stronger. There is one track missing from the album however an that is White Lines. At the time this was originally released on vinyl I did not own a turntable and so therefore I am just adding to my collection.
