Axes, cleavers and scythes played against wood and bone create unsettling percussion, while bells and clay jugs generate strange drones. Strings shift between the sound of wind and creaking trees, with electronically treated quintet sessions lending a spectral presence.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCollaborators include violinist Daniel Pioro, medieval-music specialist Laura Cannell, Foals drummer Jack Bevan and vocalist Antonina Nowacka, alongside contributions from experimental instrument makers Fron Reilly and Bart Hopkin.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe soundtrack also features “Wynter Waxeth”, an original song performed by Ethel Cain in Middle English.
