Fronted by Charlotte Wessels on lead vocals, Delain had initially been conceived as a studio project for Westerholt’s songs, employing a number of session musicians and guest appearances, but the success of debut album, 'Lucidity' (CD 1) led to a fully-fledged touring band, featuring Ronald Landa on guitar, Rob van der Loo on bass and Sander Zoer on drums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRecorded between 2005 and 2006, 'Lucidity' was released by Roadrunner Records in September 2006, featuring the singles ‘Frozen’, ‘See Me in Shadow’, ‘Shattered' and ‘The Gathering'.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe band put together to support the debut on the road was retained for second album, 'April Rain' (CD 2).
