In Paris, pianist Dick Twardzik died from a heroin overdose in his hotel room on October 21, 1955. He was only 24 years old, and his early death was a tragedy for the jazz world. Chet was marked for life by this tragedy and from that point on his own addiction would haunt him forever.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis album compiles material from three studio sessions made during that European tour.
