More Info

The long awaited 5th Volume of Cellarful of Motown arguably the biggest UK Motown brand since British Motown Chartbusters.

Contains several tracks which will become favourites of the Northern Motown Scene.

The first official release of bootlegged Northern tracks such as True Fine Boy, Barbara McNair’s – A World Without You and Sammy Turner’s – All I Have Left Are Memories sure to attract both Motown and Northern Soul aficionados.

This year sees visits to this shore of Motown acts featured here, Brenda Holloway, Chris Clark, Kim Weston and Martha Reeves (Vandellas).

The Temptations – I Gotta Find A Way (To Get You Back) has been a northern soul favourite for years with Temptation, Dennis Edwards on lead, this undocumented Eddie Kendricks lead has been recently discovered and will be a huge surprise to both Temptations, Motown and Northern fans.

Blinky is the subject of an Internet, Free Blinky From The Vaults campaign with fans banding together and demanding the release of the many vaulted Blinky tracks. This volume contains a track not known amongst collectors and will be a huge draw to those involved.

The album opens with the legitimate CD debut of a Frank Wilson track – A Toast To The Lady – Frank has been the star of many 21st Century Motown compilations since the re-discovery of Do I Love You (Indeed I do) – any new Frank Wilson track will set Northern Soul dance floors alight.

The set also features an unheard Martha Reeves and the Vandellas track – Martha is huge here in the UK and fills houses wherever she plays even to this day.

Motown favourite, Tommy Good, still singing at 80 odd years of age is represented with what is without doubt the last remaining track in the vaults.

We need bigger cellars

The wait was worth it, how many more gems are hidden away and when can we get them? Couldn't choose a favourite track as too many were in contention
