Dinked Toy, Love Bites (3, 8 ) – ah, new releases

Thank goodness for those Deerhunter, Steve Mason, & Sharon Van Etten albums last week – a great way to end the all too long December/January new release drought.
Right back in the swing of things this week, with some more cracking releases, with long time Sister Ray faves Toy “Happy In The Hollow” the pick of the bunch, which comes as an exclusive ‘Dinked’* edition on transparent vinyl, alternate sleeve, and a bonus 7”.

*’Dinked’ ? it’s a loose coalition of about 20 independent shops who’ve joined together to put out some truly cool versions of new releases on exclusive colours with different sleeves, bonus tracks and loads of other extras.

Also out this week, Brighton’s Blood Red Shoes return, classic Creation Records heads Swervedriver return on Mogwai’s Rock Action records, the return of The Beat and The Dandy Warhols (not together, obviously), plus a nice little vinyl only ep from Sunflower Bean, whose debut album last year BBC 6 Music were all over.
Reissue – wise, the first two parts in a series of Buzzcocks reissues arrive this week, with CD & LP versions of “Another Music In A Different Kitchen” & “Love Bites”; ON U Sound heads should check out a cool looking selection of Mark Stewart rarities & oddities; and you general headz look out for a lush vinyl reissue of UNKLE’s classic “Psyence Fiction”.
As ever, pretty much all of this lot have special limited vinyl editions, so get browsing….

Easy. If you are a UK based customer and we are shipping to a UK address then shipping is free if you spend £75 or more in a single order.

Safe and Secure Shopping

There would be no point in spending a shitload of money on a website that was insecure. That’s why we’ve partnered with the best companies to keep everything nailed on safe. If there is a certificate we’ve missed out on then it’s probably for a 50 Metre swim badge at the local swimming baths.

Fast Delivery

We aim to ship as soon as we are able. Rely on us to get you music to you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

30 Years Experience

We’ve been selling music from the heart of London’s Soho for 30 years.

Sister Ray is one of the UK’s foremost record shops and from our must see adverts in the NME to this brand new website we’ve been selling music globally for a long time. We’ve built up a wealth of experience and will be putting that experience and the music we like into this website.

Over the next few months watch this site become a true reflection of what we offer in store.
